Choppoq
Choppoq is an air purifier designed for homes and workplaces. Air is drawn in through an intake on the underside by a brushless motor and ultra silent fan blades. The air then passes through a nano carbon filter and ultraviolet light, which remove particles and germs, before leaving through an outlet at the top. The main body and frame are made of injection moulded plastic, and a touch sensitive button controls the power. The flowing form is inspired by the Sirjan windcatcher in Kerman, Iran. Pastel colours and a minimal shape allow Choppoq to serve also as a decorative object.
Choppoq Air Purifier by Mohammad Amin Abbaszadeh Sardehaei was selected as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Choppoq Air Purifier earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Home Appliances Design in 2021. The A' Home Appliances Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design award which celebrates excellent design of refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washing machines, dryers, ovens, vacuum cleaners, air conditioners and more.
