Emperor
Emperor is a table and the first piece of the Imperial Furniture Series. The design follows the Neo-Sino methodology, which combines traditional design principles from the long history of China with contemporary design practices from other cultures. The wooden parts are CNC routed from sustainable Jarrah, and the metal parts are CNC milled from brass. The details are laser etched. The table measures 861 mm by 994 mm by 672 mm. The aim is to bring Chinese design influence into contemporary furniture in a respectful way.
Emperor Table by Tiger ChongSheng Guo was recognized as an outstanding illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Emperor Table was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2021. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design recognition program which celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
