Wavy
Design was inspired by nature elements. The writing desk was created using water theme, to move some feeling of nature to home. The top of the desk creates an effect of ripples which are made by water drop. Writing desk edge performs a function. It does not let to fall writing supplies down on the ground. Also it is as meditation tool while thinking or relaxing, because there is a possibility to roll small marbles along the lines. Desk is made from non porous material, so it opens up more possibilities and much more freedom. So user can work with laptop or paint with watercolor.
Wavy Desk by Agne Balke was featured as a grand illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Wavy Desk was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, jury-voted, fair and ethical design recognition program that recognizes outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
