Embroidery
Embroidery Collection is a group of upholstered seating and tables for living spaces. The collection includes a one-seat sofa, a two-seat sofa, a coffee table and a side table. Smocking, a hand sewing technique taken from the fashion industry, gathers the fabric into pleats and forms patterned reliefs on the upholstery. The smocking detail replaces the hub-pulling method used in traditional sofa work. Fabric and leather are combined in each piece. The aim is to present upholstery craft in a new visual form.
Embroidery Upholstery Seating by Yongphan Sundara-vicharana was recognized as an outstanding example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Embroidery Upholstery Seating received the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design competition that rewards excellent design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
