Zazen
Zazen is a multifunctional chair designed for work and rest in public places such as offices and libraries. Zazen can be turned over to change its function. With the small-opening side up, Zazen serves as an ordinary chair for study and work. With the large-opening side up, Zazen becomes a wide sofa that offers a comfortable space for reading and meditation. Users can sit cross-legged on the sofa surface. Zazen is made of teak, a stable and wear-resistant wood, and measures 96 cm in length, 68 cm in width and 65 cm in height.
Zazen Multifunctional Chair by Bruce Tao was identified as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Zazen Multifunctional Chair earned the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2022. The A' Furniture Design Award is a highly prestigious, international, juried design competition that honors exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
