The Lamp combines warm and cool materials, accentuating natural elements and evoking nostalgic feelings. Featuring Rojo Alicante marble, walnut wood, brushed brass, and a linen lamp shade, it creates a striking visual. Its design uses natural materials for a sturdy, comforting look, drawing inspiration from 1950s-1960s Brazilian design, architecture, and art. The goal was to create a refined, luminescent piece that brings calming, sunset-inspired lighting. The design incorporates primary geometric shapes, showcasing the beauty of materials and textures for a naturally contrasting result.
Poente Table Lamp by Marcos Duailibe has been featured as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. Poente Table Lamp was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2023. The A' Lighting Products and Fixtures Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards excellent design of chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, table lamps, floor lamps, outdoor lights, recessed lights, track lights and more.
