Yourself
Yourself is a customizable furniture system that can be assembled into several different pieces. Yourself consists of a wooden core and a set of aluminium alloy sticks. The core determines the function, while the sticks form the frame. The parts are joined with screws, so one product can become a cabinet, a bookcase, a baby crib or a coffee table. The core is made of teak, a stable and wear resistant wood, and the frame is made of recyclable aluminium alloy. Cores, colours and functions can be selected to suit each space and need.
Yourself Customized Furniture by Zhixiang Tao was highlighted as an innovative example of industrial design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Yourself Customized Furniture was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2023. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize which honors outstanding design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
