Asa
This project was inspired from a traditional folklore decorative scripture. It is presented with a combination of red, blue, blue-black ,green, oil and khaki colors. It is thought to be used as a sideboard as well as a decorative object both in modern and classic houses. It tries to marry tradition with modern life. It shows the way to remember the roots but also look into future. It shows the transformation from something old into something new. Simplicity with a hint of elegance.
Asa Sideboard by Xenofon Hector Grigorelis was identified as a creative example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Asa Sideboard received the Bronze A' Design Award in Furniture Design in 2017. The A' Furniture Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design prize that celebrates exceptional design of chairs, tables, sofas, beds, cabinets, shelves, desks, wardrobes and more.
