Bird
It's Bird is a floor lamp made from metal and stone that have been used before. The stone parts are joined as terrazzo, a material formed from small fragments of natural stone. The metal once served as a building material, and its layers of worn paint remain visible. LED technology provides the light. The lamp is connected by a cord, and a dimmer on the cord controls the light intensity. The lamp measures 500 mm by 500 to 1200 mm, with a height of 1600 mm. The simple form was inspired by birds and by an autumn river landscape.
Bird Floor Lamp by Oksana Belova has been selected as an exceptional example of industrial design by the A' Design Awards. Bird Floor Lamp earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Lighting Products and Fixtures Design in 2020.
